Founder Story
Luz Padilla-Niemann's journey into business leadership didn't begin in a boardroom — it began on the assembly line of a major OEM, where she gained firsthand experience in how products, people, and processes come together to create real value. That early experience shaped a leadership philosophy she still carries today: understand the work, respect the people doing it, and build systems that allow teams to win.
Driven by ambition, curiosity, and a deep belief in continuous improvement, Luz steadily rose through the ranks over more than 25 years in the automotive industry, ultimately stepping into leadership roles focused on business development, retail innovation, and digital transformation. She became known for helping retailers adapt to industry change — guiding dealership networks through major shifts such as EV adoption, digital retailing, and the implementation of new retail platforms and programs.
Luz's leadership and impact have been recognized nationally. She has been honored as National Sales Manager of the Year, received the Be Bold Award for innovation and leadership, and earned the GM Community Service Award along with multiple recognitions for community partnership and industry engagement.
Her work has also contributed to exceptional retail performance. In one region she supported, five out of six dealership teams earned Dealer of the Year recognition — a reflection of the strong leadership alignment, performance culture, and operational strategy she helped develop alongside dealer partners.
Colleagues often describe Luz as a high performer who elevates the people around her. One of the traits she is most proud of is her ability to quickly identify team strengths and create environments where individuals and organizations can thrive.
Over time, Luz saw a broader opportunity emerging. Many businesses — both inside and outside the automotive industry — were struggling to keep pace with rapid technological change while still trying to grow revenue and improve operations. That realization led to the creation of Wilder Tech.
Today, through Wilder Tech, Luz helps business owners, dealership groups, and leadership teams unlock growth by aligning strategy, operations, and intelligent tools — including AI — to drive measurable results.
Beyond her professional work, Luz is deeply committed to her family and community — a proud mother of two, a passionate mentor to young professionals and children, and a strong advocate for STEM education and empowering the next generation of leaders. Today she leads Wilder Tech with the same mindset that shaped her career: stay curious, empower people, and build strategies that help businesses and communities grow.
